World Book day at the Heritage Centre was packed with interesting events for all ages. The Lismore primary children came dressed as their favourite characters which included Harry Potter, The Gruffalo, Little Red Riding Hood, Lightning MacQueen, and a cowgirl.
They selected books and Lorraine King then told them the story of the Wee Bannock, Beth Campbell gave them each a cup cake iced with a book and their initials, and they were invited to select a gift from the museum shop sale.
The café was busy for Beth Campbell’s literary luncheon, the shop sales were steady and a world atlas was raffled and won by Freda Drysdale.
The day concluded with a get together in the library where Barbara McDougall had selected readings with a Lismore theme. Readers were Barbara herself, Freda Drysdale, Margaret Black, Mairi Smith, Mary MacDougall and Lorraine King.
