Radio nan Gaidheal Visit

by | 5 Oct 2006 | Events

Floraidh MacLean and Kenny MacIver of Radio nan Gaidheal spent a day on Lismore recently while in Oban for a week of broadcasts of Kenny’s daily Program Choinnich, a gaelic magazine programme. ‘We like to get out and about and meet both our listeners and our contributors, Floraidh told me which was why they thought it would be interesting to visit the Oban cattle sale where they met three Lismore listeners: Archie MacColl, Duncan Livingstone and Donnie MacCormick.

On the island they met with members of the Comann Eachdraidh whose chairman, Donald Black, is one of their regular contributors. He has been busy keeping them informed as the Gaelic Heritage Centre develops, as well as writing a book about Lismore which is to be launched in the hall on 23 October 2006 between 11am and 3pm. All are welcome.
