Despite Lismore having had a very busy social weekend of dances, sports and a barbecue, a good crowd turned up on a Monday night to hear three young singers, Mary and Gillibride MacMillan with Sinead MacIntyre.
Before the Ceilidh the three gave a Gaelic singing workshop.
Most of the evening programme consisted of songs from their home island of South Uist with some from Mull and ending with Leaving Lismore.
Donald Black introduced the singers and in reply they promised that their next visit would consist of a lot more local songs as they were now very glad to have a copy of Margaret MacDonald Lobban – Dubh a’ Chrogain (Lachlan Livingstone and his Grandsons) Bards of Mull and Lismore
