Donate to CELM

The Comann Eachdraidh Lios Mor (CELM) is a charity  formed in 1994  to put the Gaelic language and culture securely at the heart of Lismore. Collecting and preserving the island’s history and heritage has given the island back its past and created a solid future  for the benefit of the community and the wider diaspora.

From grand ambitions and simple ideas has sprung The Lismore Gaelic Heritage Centre at Ionad Noamh Moluag  where you will find an accredited museum, an award winning cafe, a shop,  a library and a reconstructed cottars’ cottage.

These days the museum entry is by donation and there are several donation boxes around the heritage centre. In addition many fund raising events are held throughout  the year .

It costs around £31,000 per year to keep the Heritage Centre running and the charity relies on donations for a significant proportion of these day-to-day running costs.
