Peter Baker, a silversmith who works in Appin and sells some of his work in the Heritage Centre shop, has recently made a delicate pendant of Castle Coeffin in silver with a marble background, based on the Comann Eachdraidh logo designed by Donald Black, one of the Comann Eachdraidh founders.
In a ceremony in the Isle of Lismore Cafe Peter presented Donald with the first of these pendants in recognition of the artwork which inspired his piece.
At the same event Archie MacColl, also a founder member of the Comann Eachdraidh and a tireless worker on the project ever since, was presented with a small gift in honour of his seventieth birthday.
Ina MacColl was presented with flowers in recognition of her continuing work at the museum where she runs the shop and the small army of volunteers who keep it open daily.
