At this stage – 2001 – the Comann Eachdraidh Lios Mor – the Lismore Historical Society – was up and running and housed at the schoolhouse in Achnacroish where the committee were busy collecting the objects, and stories that would eventually become the large archive now housed in the Heritage Centre at Ionad Naomh Moluag. Ceilidhs were an important fund raiser and in 2001 there were 2 both held in the hall with local and visiting artists.
