by | 28 Mar 2017 | Events

The original Directors who were in post at the time of the Museum’s opening in March 2007, were invited to a celebratory meal on Friday 24 March 2017 at 5pm. This was followed by a social evening in the museum room which is also busy begin prepared for the opening of the 2017 season at the beginning of April.

The meal was cooked and presented by the Lismore Community Cafe  staff led by Dan Johnstone and his assistant Pia Dellemann with additional help from Shona Wright, Liam Crossan and Sarah McDonald.

They served a salad starter, chicken  or stuffed peppers, and a trifle dessert. Red and white wine were also available and  grape juice. The celebration cake representing the reconstructed cottage, Taigh Iseabal Dhaidh, was made by Katy Crossan.

Anne Livingstone thanked every one involved and presented Katy MacGregor with a basket of flowers in honour of her 80th birthday. The social evening followed in the museum room where many other islanders joined the party and were treated to some of the island’s talented performers as photographed.
