From Saturday 1st till Saturday 28 June you will find ‘Shelter’ an exhibition by Colette Walker in the Heritage Library.
Colette is an Art Therapist working in East Lothian and she creates using oils acrylics applique and inks, to represent the point between Abstract and Reality.

The title ‘Shelter’ is represented in many forms, from harbours shrouded in ‘West Coast’ mist to Forests protected by fencing, to the tilled earth of ‘well kent’ fields, and each painting is evocative of home, Scotland and safe places.
Colette asks you to “Take some time to listen” to her paintings.
Come and see these gentle, quietly spoken, works of art for yourself. The exhibition is open every day from 11am till 4pm. All the paintings and drawing are for sale ranging from £35 to £400.

Colette’s work can also be seen at the Patriot Hall in Leith, Edinburgh on 20th June 2014, as part of a Contemporary Art Practice collective show.
