Chuir sinn seachad ùine a’ rannsachadh na tràghad mus do thadhail sinn air Comunn Eachdraidh Lios Mòr, far an do dh’ionnsaich sinn barrachd mu eachdraidh an eilein, choimhead sinn mun taigh-tasgaidh agus chòrd e rinn stad aig a’ chafaidh airson cèic agus seoclaid theth.
Fhuair ar clann P1–4 cuideachd cothrom tadhal air Alpacas and Pals, far an do chòrd e riutha gu mòr coinneachadh ris na beathaichean uile.
Bha latha trang ach air leth math againn agus rinn na sgoilearan againn deagh riochdachadh air an sgoil, mar a bhios iad an-còmhnaidh. Mòran taing dhan a h-uile duine a chuidich gus an latha a dhèanamh cho sònraichte!

What a fantastic day our Gaelic pupils had on Lismore today! Although the weather wasn’t quite as kind as we had hoped, the rain certainly didn’t bother us.
We spent time exploring the shoreline before visiting Comunn Eachdraidh Lios Mòr where we learned more about the island’s history, explored the museum and enjoyed a stop at the café for cake and hot chocolate.
Our P1–4 children also had the opportunity to visit Alpacas and Pals, where they thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the animals.
It was a busy but fun packed day, and our pupils were, as always, fantastic ambassadors for our school. A huge thank you to all of our teachers, supports staff and helpers today, you really do go above and beyond!!
We’d like to extend a special thank you to Caledonian MacBrayne for subsidising our ferry travel; the Isle of Lismore Café for providing delicious cakes and treats, and for allowing us to take over the decking; Anna Stewart for shuttling us around all afternoon; Mary MacDougall for being such an excellent Gaelic tour guide; and finally, Graham and Carol Black for welcoming us to Alpacas and Pals and allowing us to meet your wonderful animals. You all helped to make our trip truly fantastic.
