Gilly B is an artist and illustrator. She studied art in England in the eighties, then raised a family on the island, and now after many years of working only for friends and family or to satisfy her own desire to express, she has been persuaded to open her work up.
She secured an exhibition at the prestigious gallery on the island of Gigha which ran through August and September this year. She is now opening a new exhibition on the island at the Lismore Heritage Centre.
Her work is locally inspired, and differs from established artists in both its feel and content. She hopes to be able to expand into other areas in future exhibitions, and prints of her work are also available direct from the artist via her website, www.gilly-b.com.
