Taproot – Lismore’s Winter festival – is back starting on 18 October 2025 and finishing on 22 March 2026 with a varied programme and encompassing 11 dates.
The programme is balanced between speech and music with one walk and is always in the Museum room of the heritage centre unless otherwise advised. There is a suggested donation of £12 and tickets can be book at lismoremuseum@ btconnect.com The café will be open for refreshments even once the centre is closed for the season.
You can brighten up your Sunday afternoons at 4.30 and be entertained for an hour or so by a singer songwriter, a piper, an album creator, trad and Gaelic music experts, and the Lismore dance band,
Talks will range through 3000 years of milling on Lismore, financing health and social care, the decline the Gaelic language, and the Martin Bennet story.
