Lesley Hamilton is continuing to run our shop most efficiently and there is again an emphasis on goods from Scotland with a great selection of Lismore produce including Gilly B art works and cards, the Rainbow Mara bath products from Sarah Jones and Lismore lavender sachets from Camas growers aka Jennifer Baker one of our curators. All affordable and lovely. Great stuff for the children too who are always keen to spent their holiday money without breaking the bank. The popular luxury knitwear from Orkney is still there and two walking leaflets to assist your exploration of the island.
This year our shop has been taken over by a new Volunteer Manager – Lesley Hamilton. Following on from the excellent work done by Ina MacColl our recently retired shop manager, Lesley has been busy buying new stock for the shop – sourcing it locally and from all around Scotland.
We have a mixture of gifts for you – prints and mugs by the painter Ken Lochead, luxury knitwear from Orkney based Hume Sweet Hume and Quernstone, bespoke silver jewellery by local silversmith Peter Baker, Scottish Island Jewellery made in Rothesay and quirky jewellery and pottery pieces from Station Cat Pottery based in Pitlochry.
We have new stock from Lismore based textile artist Sarah Campbell’s Mogwaii products, funky new Harris Tweed products from Bertie Girl and much, much more – you’ll have to visit to see it all. New stock will be arriving throughout the season too. We’re currently also selling Lismore tablet – get some before it runs out!
